The HT Group has partnered with an established, speciality CPA firm to assist them for a qualified Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper for an immediate need. Our client is looking for someone with previous GAAP accounting experience, strong detail orientation and accuracy, and a client service-focused personality. This individual will be supporting multiple clients so time management and prioritization skills are a must.

What you will do:

• Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
• Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes
• Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
• Perform accounts receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
• Conduct reconciliation of all accounts and Prepare Financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
• Facilitate client status meetings and updates

Qualifications:

• 3+ years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping, preferably in firm environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel 
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills
