The HT Group currently looking for Principal Engineering Specialist - Instrumentation and Controls who have experience in commercial construction for a multi-billion-dollar semiconductor expansion north of Austin. Job Duties:

• Develop and review process control scheme and strategy on P&ID's
• Review specifications and data sheets for instruments, control valves and analyzers
• Define and program Distributed Control System (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown System (ESD)
• Review Process Control Narratives, Cause & Effect Diagrams and Shutdown Logic Diagrams
• Review Machinery Monitoring System (MMS), SCADA, and Fire and Gas Detection System
• Review detailed design in the installation and wiring of instruments and process control systems
• Review technical requisitions
• Review and evaluate vendor technical proposals
• Plan and coordinate activities on an assigned proposals and projects
• Supervise and check the work of junior engineers on the above tasks
• Mentor and coach junior engineers

Qualifications:

• Typically requires ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Downstream, EPC Experience a must
• Pre-FEED, FEED experience a must
• Basic computer skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience with above instrumentation and control equipment specifications and system design tasks
• Ability to lead an Instrumentation & Controls Engineering and Design team
• Familiar with codes and standards in NEC, IEC, API and NFPA
• Professional or Chartered Engineer preferred
